BOTTLING YOUR BARREL

What could be better than a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel? How about a bottle selected from our very own barrel.  We went to Tennessee and did just that selected our own barrel.

We were part of the selection process along with their Master Distiller.  During the selection process they drew samples for us to taste and help describe the barrels and the differences to find the one that best suits our taste.

Each barrel is different as the whiskey moves in and out of the wood during maturation a certain portion is released. They call the amount that escapes "the Angels’ Share", evaporation that serves as an aromatic blessing of sorts.  Securing your own personal stock of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel is a rare investment for true whiskey lovers.

As a mark of distinction our barrel was hand-bottled and sealed with a wood and bronze cork stopper.  In addition, the neck band indicates our barrel number, the barrelhouse rick number and the bottling date, marking our whiskey as one of a kind. We also received the actual barrel from which our whiskey has drawn its character.
